SDSU co-hosted an AAPG field trip with Cal State Long Beach, January 13-15, 2017. It was “Slope channel reservoir facies of the LA petroleum system,” led by Cameron Campbell (DOGGR) and Rick Behl (CSULB). Students from SDSU, CSULB, and University of California, Santa Barbara camped for 2 nights in San Clemente State Beach campgrounds, and spent 2 days exploring the geology from Palos Verdes south to San Onofre.
